LOUISE FLETCHER
Kai Winn

The recurring role of Winn, ruthless leader of an orthodox religious sect on DS9 (introduced in the "In the Hands of the Prophets" episode), allows Fletcher a welcome opportunity to be flamboyant. "It's like performing grand opera," she says. "Because the show is set in space, you can do things you would never think of doing -- sidelong glances, coy looks. I love playing Winn; to me she's the Bajoran pope."

Fletcher's favorite line -- said with a straight face -- came in a sickbay scene as she gazed upon her chief rival, who was clinging to life through a series of transplants. "So tell me, doctor, as you've already replaced most of his organs, can't you do something with his brain?"

Louise and a batch of Trek villains sock it to the tribbles.

Click here for Dukat and Winn, or rather Marc and Louise, who are just too cute to be villains.
